It’s been awhile, but there is a lot going on with the DRAGON Youth Project, and I would love to get the advisory committee together for suggestions, ideas, and other input (considering that this is a one WOman show!) So it is settled…the next DRAGON Youth Project Advisory Committee meeting will be on Thursday February 1st at 4:00pm in the El Escondido conference room at the San Juan Basin Health Department. I know this time does not work for all of you, but it seems to work for the majority. So, please come if you can, and if you can not, please refer to this website after the meeting for minutes! Don’t forget, there will be yummy snacks!!
If you need directions to the health department, please call. El Escondido conference room is located behind the clinic and all the way down the hall to the right. You can ask the front desk to clarify this for you when you arrive.
I would like to get together in early February. Please comment or email me about what days and times of the week are best for you.

Come fall, we will be implementing our new Girls’ Circle curriculum. I have received the facilitator manual and all of the materials necessary to run girls’ groups. Now, I need your help. I am hoping to set a date to get together with you all, including our newest committee members, Miss Jenn Doherty from the Women’s Resource Center, and Sheree Volrab, from San Juan Basin Health Tobacco Prevention, to discuss this exciting new program. Your input will be essential in the creation of the Girls’ Circle.
I will be in Indiana next week doing my residency for my Masters degree, and then in Cripple Creek the following week for the Reconnecting Youth training. If we could meet sometime during the last week of July, that would be wonderful.
