DRAGON Youth Project
The DRAGON Youth Project is a prevention program named by some of the youth it has served. DRAGON stands for DRug and Alcohol prevention through Group and hOlistic interaction. The DRAGON youth project is funded through the Colorado Department of Health’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (CADAD) by the Law Enforcement Assistance Fund (LEAF) grant. The DRAGON Youth Project’s mission is to work with at-risk youth to strengthen areas of self-esteem, personal control, decision-making, and interpersonal communication and provide education to assist in making healthier choices and to reduce and prevent drug and alcohol use and abuse.
